Session storage
Where Sendable stores WhatsApp session content.
Overview
Each WhatsApp session's content (messages, contacts, groups, events, and related tables) is stored in a dedicated SQLite file on the Sendable volume for that deployment.
Platform data such as accounts, billing, API keys, and session metadata stays in the central system.sqlite database on the same volume.
What this means for you
- Session content is isolated per session under
/data/sessions/<session-id>.sqliteon the server volume. - You do not need to configure a database connection URL in the dashboard.
- The session settings page shows storage status (ready, provisioning, or error).
BYODB (bring your own database)
Customer-hosted PostgreSQL BYODB is not available in the SQLite cutover release. It may return in a future version if dual-dialect support is added.
For compliance or direct SQL access today, use Sendable's API and webhooks, or export data through your own integration.
